Christmas Gift Guide- Secret Santa

Secret Santa is becoming increasingly popular among friends/family which if you’re low on funds or have a huge family then it’s a great idea. I have a small family so I associate Secret Santa with work colleagues so that is the kind of gifts that I’ve included. It can be really daunting, particularly if you don’t know the person that well.

A good starting point is, what do you use at work? A mug, a calendar, a pen, a notebook, a plant.

For Her

I really love this Zoella Lifestyle ‘This Is Your Year’ Desk Calendar (£10). I think this is the perfect desk accessory, there is lots of inspirational quotes, the detailing of the cards is beautiful and I love the layout of the calendar. I personally don’t like calendars which have a little line next to the date because it’s always too short to write anything and I think it looks messy. I’d be delighted with this gift!

A mug is such a safe option, this New Look Initial Mug (£6.99)is a great size and shape. The decor is beautiful and having your initial means it won’t get misplaced or mixed up in the office. One one side of the initial is the upper case initial and the other is the lower case.

If you’re thinking jewellery, Next have a beautiful collection which will put a smile on any woman’s face. This Mixed Metal Charm Necklace (£8) is perfect because the mixed metals means she can wear it with anything. If you don’t know what colour jewellery she wears outside the office, fear not this has you covered.

Another idea is a pen, which is where Paperchase will sort you out! From this Cactus Slim Gold Twist Pen (£8) to an Indigo Nights Glitter Twist Ball Pen (£5) there is something for everyone! It’s probably not something I’d treat myself too but I’d really appreciate it.

If you’re looking for a candle, the Aldi candles are the best value on the current market. Inspired by Jo Malone which retails for £40.01 more than the £3.99 Aldi version, I don’t think anyone would disagree this is a steal. Coming in three scents, I’ve tried all and they burn beautifully.

For Him

Sticking with the desk theme, This 2018 Challenge Calendar  (£9.99) is a daily brain challenge for the full year. I think this is fun and would spark discussion in the office. If your secret santa is someone who thinks he knows everything, this is the perfect gift.

Brief notes (£3.95), I mean need i say more? Post-it notes come in so handy and which not give the gift of a chuckle every time you use one.

For the travel enthusiast, the one who appears to be on holiday ever 6 weeks, the Scratch Map Travel Edition (£11.99) this is perfect. Scratch map are so trendy now, I think they make a great gift but you’d need to know your geography!

If he likes a tipple, these Whisky Rocks  (£10) are a great idea. These will chill your Whisky like an ice cube but these will leave the flavour of your Whisky completely unaltered whereas ice would dilute it.

If you want to get personal, try this Travel Vacuum Flask (£12.99) which can be personalised with his initials. Keeps hot drinks, hot and cold drinks, cold. The engraving also adds thoughtfulness but it’s subtle.

I hope this has given you a few ideas for your Secret Santa! I’m uploading lots of gift-guides this year so make sure to sign up for email alerts so you don’t miss any!
