As far as Skincare goes, I’m not very adventurous. I used to be but as I have sensitive skin, I was sick of spending money on different products for them to irritate my skin and I can’t use them. Simple skincare was the first skin care brand I was introduced to and I swear they had like three products. Simple has grown so much lately in their product range, I use it for my entire skincare routine! I wanted to share some of my favourite products with you and my current skincare routine.
First thing in the morning, I normally reach for the Refreshing Facial Wash to wake my skin up. If it’s super cold or my skin feels dry I’d use the Moisturising Wash as it makes my skin feel so soft. I then use the Hydrating Light Moisturiser- my favourite moisturiser in the world. It’s so gentle and keeps my skin feeling moisturised all day.
Twice a week I use the Smoothing Facial Scrub to exfoliate my skin. This is one of the only scrubs which hasn’t reacted with my skin, it’s so gentle and feels really calming. It’s a great consistency and beads are really small which is a must have for me.
As soon as I get home, the first thing I do is take my make-up off. I find I can relax so much more if my skin is clean, it also gives my skin time to breathe.
I normally take a make-up eraser, which removes make-up with only water, to get the majority of my make-up off. They are £1.50 in Primark and I’d recommend changing them every month/ six-weeks if you wear make-up every day. This has become such an essential for me as It means I’m not using as much product to take my actual make-up off and can focus more on cleansing my skin.
I use the Hydrating Cleansing Oil, put a small amount on my hands then rub them together to warm the oil up before rubbing it on my face. Oils feel so luxurious on the skin, I’m such a fan of them in the evening. Whereas previous oils I’ve tried can make the skin quite greasy- the Simple one doesn’t, so I’d still recommend if you have oily skin.
After washing that off, I then use the Pore Minimising Toner. I got Simple Cotton Pads in a Christmas gift last year and they were the best things on the earth but I’ve never seen them in shops to buy them.
I finish off my routine with, my holy grail, the Hydrating Light Moisturiser. If I was to be on a dessert island and only allowed three things, this moisturiser would be one.
My weekend routine is the same as through the week, the only difference is I love a facemask on a Saturday morning. Simple have just released new sheet-masks so I had to pick up the Pollution Protect Sheet Mask. I work in the City Monday-Friday but I’m from the country, so my country skin is not used to being in the City and it has taken such a toll.
As Glasgow has now been voted, the most polluted City in the UK, I was so excited to try this out. I felt it gave my skin such a boost and it looked so much healthier. I cannot wait to buy more of these and try out their others also.
Simple Skincare contains lots of vitamins and no harsh chemicals, whether you have sensitive skin like myself, or just want something gentle and natural to put on your skin, I cannot recommend them as a brand enough.
