Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation & Concealer

I was starting to get a bit bored of my foundation, i normally use the No.7 Stay perfect foundation which i do love but i fancied a change.

I saw Tanya Burr using the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation & Concealer in a video and i really liked it on her, so i figured i’d try it out for myself! Clinique was the first foundation i ever used but for some unknown reason, as an adult, i’ve never went back to it.

So as i’d not used Clinique for a long time i didn’t know which shade i would be. I kept meaning to nip into a Clinique counter and test a few but i saw a really good deal online where if you ordered a product online, you’d get 5 free samples. Being a sucker for a good buy, i just thought i’d buy online.

This product was £25 so i really wanted to get the shade right. On the Clinique website, i uploaded a photo of myself as the profile picture and one of the assistants on the live chat told me which colour to go for.

The colour which the assistant suggested (01) is the perfect shade for me! It’s a yellow undertone which i love because my skin can go quite red so i don’t like pink undertones in my foundation.

I love that this includes concealer, i still use my trusty Collection Lasting Perfection in the lightest shade under my eyes but as far as blemishes go, this works really well! It’s easy & convenient and i really like it.

img_2724It’s quick thick, once it’s on & set it’s not going anywhere all day! The applicator is like a giant concealer wand which i’m not quite sold on… but it’s a small price to pay!

I’m still using the bottle so i’m not sure how long it will last, but i’m really happy with it and will definitely re-purchase.

As well as, i got all these lovely goodies!

I’d really love to start getting more into Clinique so if there are any products you love and would recommend please let me know!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas- if you don’t celebrate Christmas i hope you have a wonderful day. I do have a few NY blog posts coming up so keep an eye out for those. Make sure you’re subscribed to this blog and follow me on bloglovin’ so you don’t miss another post!
