New Additions to my Make-Up Collection

New Additions to my Make-Up Collection

I buy a lot of make-up, i have more make-up than a normal person would ever need but there are so many products out there that i never struggle to buy more. In the past few weeks i’ve bought quite a few bits, that i’m pretty excited about so i wanted to share them all with you!

I am a lover of eye shadow palettes as you’ll know, if you’ve been reading this blog for a while. I cannot resist them, and I’d heard a lot of talk about Morphe palettes so thought i’d give one a go. I chose the 35K Colour Koffee Palette which was £21 from Beauty Bay. For your money you get 35 shades ranging from black to white and all natural brown shades in between. This has a really good mixture of matte and shimmer shades so the amount of looks you can create is endless. There is also some really good brow shades here too if you use eye shadow to fill in your brows.

While i was browsing Beauty Bay I ordered the  Stila “lips are sealed” duo which was £12.50. I thought it was really reasonable, for your money, you get 2x 1.5ml Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks, one in the shade Beso which is a rich red and the other in the shade Bella which is a Barbie pink. The packing is really cute, it would make a lovely gift for someone if they appreciate higher end make-up. These are super pigmented, but the colour isn’t too harsh, i really like them.

When it comes to make-up brushes, i always choose Real Techniques, but the last time i was on Beauty Bay i ordered a Zoeva brush and it’s my favourite brush ever- so naturally i ordered another one. I ordered the 232 Luxe Classic Shader from the Rose Golden collection. The brush is beautiful, and it feels really soft. This was £8.99 and you can either have it in the rose gold or the original black.

Something else i’ve picked up is the new Collection Velvet Kiss moisturising lip cream in the shade Caramel. This is really like the NXY soft matte lip creams in texture and appearance… and they’re almost half price! At just £2.99 you can create the same looks and the feel the same quality. These are brand new so there isn’t as many shades available as NYX but the shades they have available area really nice and from what i’ve tried… i’m impressed!

I’ve got a few bits from MUA at Superdrug. The first is the MUA Lipstick in shade 2. I’ve talked about these lipsticks before, i’m a real fan of them and they’re only £1 each! They are moisturising, long lasting and they’re build able which i really like because you can wear them for all occasions! This shade is a mix of purple and berry pink, putting on one coat it’s really soft and gives your lips a really healthy look. If you build it, you’re leaning towards a statement berry lip which is perfect for this time of year!

I also picked up the eyeshadow in the colour copper which was also £1. This is a really bold, statement colour that i’m not going to use for everyday use. I though the colour would go really well this time of year. This again is really build able and doesn’t go on too heavy, it’s soft and shimmery the whole way through.

Lastly, i’ve been adding the new Tanya Burr cosmetics into my collection this month. I really love all Tanya Burr products so i was so excited to get my hands on these, i wanted to get them in store because i wanted to make sure the lipsticks suited me before i bought them but i really struggled to find them! They have been out for over a month and i only just found them in store last Saturday… even then there was a really small selection! I only managed to get one lipstick in the colour ‘Wild Safari’ which is a really beautiful, bright orange colour. The packaging for these are absolutely beautiful, really elegant and classy. I don’t normally wear orange lipsticks but i’m excited to play around with this.

I also got two cheek illuminators in the colour golden girl and forever summer. Super drug had no testers and you can’t open any of the products so i was really just guessing but the golden girl is a really lovely bronze colour, works really well as a blusher if you’re going for a glowy look or to add a little shimmer to your contour if you’re going out. Forever Summer is a really pale pink highlight, it’s really glowy but blends really well into your skin tone.

So that’s what i’ve been buying this month! I am going to persevere with the other Tanya Burr lipsticks… i will get my hands on them somehow! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products, i’d love to know what you think!

As always, my social media is linked above if you want to check that out. I am going to be doing a giveaway before Christmas, i’m trying to build up a really good selection and to enter you’ll need to be following this blog, @gemmalynseyblog on twitter, and follow my bloglovin’  also so feel free to do that now if you don’t want to miss out on the giveaway!
