September Favourites 2016

This month i have been loving thisworks in transit camera close-up (x) which is a mask, moisturiser and primer in one. I use this as a primer, it’s a bit on the pricey side but it is without doubt the best primer i’ve tried. It makes your make-up last really well and is kind to your skin.

I mentioned i’d purchased the Zoeva Rose Golden eye-shadow palette (x) in my Autumn Tag i’ve really been loving it so far. The colours are beautifully rich and warm and there is so many different looks to be created! It’s the only palette that has managed to tempt me away from my beloved Tanya Burr Birthday Suit Palette (which is my palette of the year for sure).

I bought the Zoeva Rose Gold 225 Blending Brush (x the rose gold is no longer on the website :() to go with the palette and it is one of the best brushes i’ve ever tried. I’d heard a lot of hype about Zoeva brushes but until now had never tried them. It’s the only brush in my collection that isn’t a Real Techniques brush but i’m definitely going to try more of their brushes. A tad more expensive than Real Techniques but not by much, the results are well worth it!

The past few months, i’ve been trying lots of Lush Fresh Face Masks because my skin has just not been behaving. I normally go with what the people who work there recommend , so i’ve tried a fair few! The one i really love is Cupcake (x) which is specifically for oily or teenage skin. I’ve tried ones specifically for breakouts and wasn’t that keen but this one i find works really well. It draws out the dirt & impurities from your skin then stimulates, tones and moisturises- all while smelling of chocolate! I do think the key to a good face-mask is consistency, you should use it a few times a week to get the best results. I’ll definitely be adding this into my skincare routine!

I bought the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation (x) for my post, Testing High Street Foundations. I’ve been using this all month and i really like it. I find it gives me a really natural glow and makes my skin look healthy. I like it for days when i really don’t want to wear a lot of make-up, this just makes my skin a lot brighter!

Until recently, i never used an eye-shadow base (cardinal sin, i know). I bought one from the NYX counter for £5.99 and it’s become an essential! I bought the natural eye shadow base (x) because i felt it would be the most versatile and it makes such a difference to the amount of time your eye shadow not only stays on, and stays looking striking.

I can’t, not mention the new Zoella beauty releases in my favourites because they have been the buzz of my previous 30 days. They didn’t come out until the end of the month so i feel a bit like a cheat for putting them in my September favourites, but i have been loving the Hand On Heart Hand Cleanser (x). I always have Wonder Hand in my bag, so i enjoy a sanitiser which matches the scent of my hand cream… that pleases me.

That’s what i’ve been loving this month- i really hope you’ve enjoyed. Let me know if you’ve been loving any of the above products or have some alternatives to share.

Oh my goodness I am so with you on the cupcake facemask! Earlier in the year I decided to give up chocolate and I couldn’t use this face mask as it made me crave it too much!!! I started to use Love Lettuce instead which actually worked for me skin! But I’m back on the chocolate which means cupcake facemask is in the fridge as we speak 😜 thanks for the great post!! Xo
